Registered in 1979, Vive España is an Ernest Schwemmer hybrid. This beautiful Epiphyllum puts on a show every year. Multiple blooms open each day for several weeks. Wide opening inner petals are purple with a reddish orange mid-stripe. The second row of petals are reddish orange with a thin purple edge. The outermost petals of this wonderful Epiphyllum bloom are red with a slight purple overcast. Although registered as a large bloom (7+ inches) most blooms open more medium (6 inches)

When established the plant has thick flat with some angled growth that is 2 – 4 inches wide. On average the branches grow about 2 feet per year. A variety that is very easy to keep as a compact plant. Older growth with routinely have a slightly red edge. Easy to grow we recommend this Epiphyllum variety for every level of grower.
